Job Description:
- Pay is up to $39/hr.
- 12-month assignment with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Tail Spend Management: Oversee the implementation of structured RFQs and procurement strategies to optimize tail spend, reduce supplier base, and achieve cost savings.
- Spend Analysis: Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify uneconomical purchases, enhance visibility, and drive structured tenders.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships by standardizing price quote processes, reducing tail suppliers, and improving coordination.
- Procurement Transformation: Lead initiatives to rationalize suppliers, optimize costs, and streamline transactional procurement processes.
- Contract Compliance: Implement automated systems to ensure contract compliance, prevent leakage, and improve labor productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree is required – Masters or MBA preferred
- 3+ years of experience in procurement and contract review, with a strong focus on tail spend management and supplier consolidation.
- Proficient in digital procurement tools, including e-RFQ platforms, AI tools, automated compliance systems, and basic experience with Aravo and Coupa.
- Skilled in spend analysis and cost-saving strategies, consistently driving procurement transformation, efficiency, and outsourcing initiatives.
- Membership in professional organizations such as the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) or the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), CPSM, is a plus.
